Bankruptcy is something that must be considered if you are in deep financial debt and have few assets.  However it usually does not remove income tax debt or payroll taxes. Also, if bankruptcy is filed at the wrong time, it may actually work against you. We do consider the possibility of bankruptcy in the case of serious tax debt.  If we do see a possibility that bankruptcy can work to your advantage, we evaluate the information you can give us.  However, bankruptcy is an important legal matter.  We will only be able to help you so far on this one.  You will need to hire a competent bankruptcy attorney who has a clear understanding of the rules. Bankruptcy may work for you, but it is like playing with very big fireworks.  You can get hurt if you are not careful.  An attorney will need to be involved before you take any bankruptcy action.
